About TapNation
TapNation is a tech startup, launched in Paris in January 2019, specializing in mobile hyper-casual games. It works in close partnership with more than 100 studios around the world, providing them with high potential game concepts and high-tech data tools to test and publish their games on the market.
TapNation has released many hit games including Giant Rush, which made it to #1 game on Google Play, and Guess Their Answer, which was the #1 application in Apple’s App Store. TapNation has generated more than 1 billion downloads of its games globally, with its top game, Their Puzzle, having been installed by more than 150 million people in 70 countries.
The Challenge
TapNation was looking for an innovative partner with experience in gaming and understanding of ad monetization to help it get more exposure for its newly launched games. With game app developers facing restrictions on where and how they can advertise, TapNation was excited about the opportunities offered by Appnext.
TapNation challenged Appnext to find the best way to grow its user base whilst reaching its KPIs and achieving a ROAS of above 150%.

Appnext provided a combination of Out Of Box Experience and Device-Level App Discovery to boost user acquisition.
Appnext’s direct partnerships with leading OEM brands meant TapNation acquired new users when they set up and customized their mobile devices for the first time.
TapNation gained further new users through personalized app recommendations made possible by Appnext’s proprietary “Timeline” technology. Appnext Timeline turns behavioral data into app recommendations by predicting the type of app users are likely to use next. Recommendations are delivered through multiple placements: from new device customization to OEM stores, folders and widgets to video ads, banners, interstitials, icons, native ads and push notifications at relevant moments.
Appnext launched a worldwide campaign to analyze which countries offered the best ROI.
Appnext worked with TapNation on different game launches to help improve performance of its gaming apps.
